Kickstart to bike venture
Chandler: The Sleeman Centre Motocross, a new venture thought to be the first of its kind in Australia, opens on March 29 at the Chandler Velodrome.
It will offer elite facilities for riders from five years upwards for casual riding or professional coaching and will operate under floodlights five days each week from Tuesdays.
It would place particular emphasis on safety and hopefully attract more riders off public roads and on to the track. ``Various nights will be dedicated for junior, senior and mixed riders from 5-9pm and coaching will be available 10am-4pm,'' Mr Herson said.
Earthworks begin shortly and a series of jumps will be created.
