Crackerjack Commitment for Carina Community: Bligh
Celebrations at the annual Crackerjack Carnival received an unexpected boost today with the commitment of an additional $512,500 from the Beattie Government for the construction of an indoor, heated swimming pool at the Clem Jones Centre in Carina.

Beattie Government preserves Carindale bushland
Premier Peter Beattie today announced the State Government's decision to preserve over six hectares of prime development space in the heart of Carindale for public green space and to protect the local environment.

New Carindale ambulance station
The new 24-hour Carindale ambulance station would mean an improved service delivery and improved ambulance response times for local residents, Emergency Services Minister Pat Purcell told State Parliament today.

Community input
In April and May 2005 the Brisbane City Council held 14 Community Values Workshops for residents. Council asked people about what they valued in their neighbourhoods and what local issues should be part of Neighbourhood Planning process. The comments from each workshop were recorded and published online. Below are the comments from the Carindale and Carina workshops.
